Description

Ho Chi Minh, born as Nguyen Sinh Cung was a Vietnamese Communist revolutionary leader and a key figure in the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, being President from 1945 to 1969. Ho Chi Minh also helped established the People's Army of Vietnam and the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. The Communist regime has continued to use the image of Ho Chi Minh as the center of propaganda and mass media techniques. Ho Chi Minh's embalmed body is displayed in a mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi.
