Description

Kanaloa is a Hawaiian Indigenous deity that rules the Underworld and a teacher of magic. Ancient Hawaiin legend states that Kanaloa became the leader of a group of spirits that attempted to rebel against the gods. Kanaloa and his spirits were defeated and as punishment, Kanaloa was banished to the underworld. Kanaloa is often symbolized with a squid or octopus and usually associated with the Hawaiian god, Kane.
